Rana Mady, M.D.

Dr. Rana Mady is committed to delivering compassionate, high quality comprehensive eye care.  After completing her undergraduate studies in Neuroscience, magna cum laude, at New York University, she went on to earn her medical degree at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.  She completed an Ophthalmology residency at Georgetown University Hospital/Washington Hospital Center.  She then pursued a fellowship in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at Albany Medical Center where she learned advanced surgical techniques in cataract surgery, corneal transplantation and laser vision correction (LASIK).

She manages medical diseases of the eye including glaucoma, dry eye, and corneal diseases and performs routine and diabetic eye exams.  Her surgical focus includes cataract surgery with standard and advanced technology lens implants, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, pterygium excision, LASIK, and partial and full thickness corneal transplants.    

She is thrilled to be joining the team at Ocean Eye Institute and is looking forward to becoming a part of the community.  On her spare time, she enjoys traveling and playing guitar.  She speaks Arabic, French and Spanish.
